The Chemex is the OG pour over method, invented in 1941 by designer, Peter Schlumbohm. Schlumbohm's invention was noted as "one of the best-designed products of modern times" by the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1958, and thus has held a permanent placement in the New York Museum of Modern Art ever since.
