Coffee Story

The Finca Mayorca Gesha is brought to us with the help of our long-time friends and partners at Finca El Ocaso. The El Ocaso and Mayorca estates are neighbors just out side the small town of Salento in Quindío, Colombia. Like El Ocaso owner, Gustavo Patino, Santiago Londoño is working with exotic varieties and experimental processing to add potential value to his farm's production.

His small production of Gesha variety coffees cupped excellently this year, with flavor augmented by the natural process method. This exceptionally balanced coffee is dark fruit forward with a lush blackberry and raspberry acidity paired with floral aroma and a vanilla body.

Sweet, complex coffees like Finca Finca Castellano are best brewed with filter hand pour methods like Hario V60 or Kalita Wave.
