Coffee Story

Red Fox has shared some pretty remarkable coffees from Mexico with us over the last few years, but none have swept us away quite like this washed Typica from the San Isidro Zoquiapam community. Our expectations for a cupping table full of Oaxacan coffees are never low, but we were definitely not prepared for how completely the Zoquiapam would shatter our expectations for what potential the region holds. This microlot comprised of coffees from three different smallholder farmers, Maria Estela, Magdalena Hernandez, and Flaviano Carrera, is as densely fruity as it is sparkly clean. Coffees like this one make the work that Red Fox is doing in Mexico so exciting to us. Every year, they’ve managed to build deeper relationships and encourage communities to embrace the potential of Oaxaca.
