Finca La Roma
It feels like every year, our friend Daniel Valasquez at Campesino Coffee introduces us to a new producer or family who we simply cannot believe we haven’t been working with for years already. This year, that is the Enciso family at Finca La Roma. The Enciso family has been growing coffee at Finca La Roma in Gaitania, Tolima since the early 2000s. A few years ago they set up a community wet mill at the farm and have been purchasing and processing coffee from neighboring farms, focusing on processing methods and quality control. Finca La Roma processes primarily typica, caturra and San Bernardo.
Finca La Roma’s washed lot is brilliantly versatile and unique amongst our other washed Colombian offerings. It performs well both roasted delicately to highlight it’s more herby, lemongrass acidity as well as a more developed roast to bring out its more chocolate rich flavors.
