Finca La Pira De Dota is located just outside of the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica, well known for quality coffee production. In addition to his farm, owner Carlos Pira built one of the region's first micro-mills, allowing him to maintain control over the coffee he produces from start to finish. Carlos is known for his experimentation and innovation in coffee processing. This coffee is allowed to rest in a bath of circulating cold water over night, which, according to him, concentrates sugar within the cherry. The cherries are then set out to dry, moving back and forth between sun drying in raised beds to shade drying under canopies.

The Finca La Pira De Dota is an exceptionally drinkable coffee no matter what brew method is used. Hand pour methods like Hario V60, Chemex, and Kalita Wave will bring out the most complexity of flavor.
