Coffee Story
In Virginia we are starting to see daffodils in bloom, which is always a sign for me that spring is coming. Short and cold days are soon to be replaced by their opposites, and it feels good. The arrival of Peruvian coffees reinforces this good feeling. They are fresh in flavor and in harvest. A beautiful pop of color when everything is feeling drab.

This coffee comes from producer Julian Huaman Turpo and their farm Santa Elena in the Cusco Department of Peru. This coffee is full of nuance for those wanting to take time to dissect their coffee, but it is also approachable and familiar for those who wish for their minds to go elsewhere. In the cup we find excellent balance with a fresh pop of acidity. Our notes are Raisin, Cashew, and Nougat, but if you want to find more there are plenty there.
