Villa Bernarda Gesha

This is our sixth time purchasing this beautiful coffee from William Correa. He was able to get these Gesha seeds from two time Cup of Excellence winner Jorge Brenes in Costa Rica back in 2016. I first saw these trees at Villa Bernarda’s nursery back in 2017 before they went in the ground, and had to wait 3-4 years before getting to taste the fruit.

Each harvest has varied slightly in quantity and quality, but this is by far our favorite harvest yet. We have landed on the washed process as our processing method for this coffee. It brings added clarity and sweetness to an already delicate and complex cup of coffee. The outcome screams of all the traditional Gesha flavors–blood orange, bergamot, lemon-lime, jasmine, and Fruit Loops–while still maintaining a softness and composure.
