La Papaya Geisha Natural

Geisha has earned its reputation as one of the world's most celebrated coffee varieties, prized for its delicate florals, tea-like structure, and remarkable clarity. At Hacienda La Papaya in Ecuador's southern Andes, producer Juan Peña and his team have spent years refining their approach to growing and processing Geisha, combining meticulous agronomy with innovative technology to unlock the variety's full potential.

The seeds for this lot trace their lineage to Panama, but the high-altitude slopes and volcanic soils of La Papaya give the coffee a distinctly Ecuadorian expression. Through careful cultivation and precision monitoring, the farm consistently produces coffees with exceptional sweetness, density, and transparency in the cup.

For this natural process lot, only perfectly ripe cherries were hand-selected before spending several weeks drying slowly on raised beds under closely controlled conditions. The result is an elegant and expressive coffee that balances Geisha's signature floral character with layered fruit sweetness and remarkable clarity.
