Don Senel SL28

Coffee has been part of the Campos family story since 1968, when Senel Campos' father planted the first coffee trees at Finca La Toboba in southern Costa Rica. Today, Senel and his son Allan continue that legacy through Finca Cola Roja and Don Senel Micromill, where they focus on producing coffees with exceptional quality and traceability.

Finca Cola Roja sits in Costa Rica's Brunca region, where rich soils, cool mountain temperatures, and a unique canyon-influenced microclimate help coffee cherries mature slowly and develop complex flavors. This SL28 lot is a great example of the farm's potential.

After harvest, ripe cherries were carefully sorted and dried as whole fruit on raised beds inside a shaded greenhouse for 30 to 40 days. The slow drying process helps build sweetness and complexity. The result is a vibrant, expressive cup that reflects both the unique growing conditions of Brunca and the dedication of the Campos family.
