Finca El Laurel

In the northern region of Cajamarca, Peru, lies the municipality of Jaén, home to Finca El Laurel, a coffee farm run by 21-year-old Anayeli Vicente. Named after the laurel plants that flourish on its land, the farm represents Anayeli’s deep-rooted passion for coffee. A love that was passed down from her mother, a coffee producer who raised her family through coffee farming. Anayeli began her own coffee production in 2017 and transitioned to specialty coffee just two years ago. Since then, she’s embraced a commitment to quality that has transformed both her craft and livelihood. Working alongside her mother and brothers, she meticulously tends to each step of the process, from pruning to drying, always making decisions that serve quality. With a focus on continuous improvement, her aspirations include refining her techniques and upgrading the farm’s infrastructure to further enhance the quality of her coffee.

Anayeli’s coffee is subtle, yet sturdy. Warm baking spices open up to soft apple and pecan flavors. These flavors are complimented by a syrupy texture, making this coffee perfect for batch brewing on early spring mornings.
