Lomo Bonita

Andrea Feria Garcia has been growing coffee for more than 30 years on her 2-hectare farm, Loma Bonita, in the community of Guadalupe Miramar in Oaxaca. Her farm is planted with Bourbon and Typica and sits within walking distance of the community, where Andrea processes her coffee at home.

Andrea ferments her coffee for 48 hours in wooden tanks before drying it on raised beds for 10 to 14 days. She uses coffee pulp as fertilizer and grows native trees like pines and ice cream beans among her coffee, providing shade while helping retain water and support the health of the farm.

Andrea is part of a community of producers who began looking for new markets in 2018 as a way to highlight the quality of their coffees and improve their returns. Through our importer, we are able to work with coffees from this community and support the relationships they have built with producers like Andrea. Her coffee is considered one of the finest coming out of the Miramar area, a reflection of the care she puts into her farm and the experience she has built over decades of growing coffee.
