Juanachute Mokka

From the high-altitude slopes of Tarrazú and the acclaimed Juanachute micromill comes a rare and exceptional lot of Mokka. This heirloom variety is known for its small bean size and intensely floral cup profile. Grown and meticulously processed by Luis Anastasio “Don Tacho” Castro and his team, this coffee reflects the precision and craftsmanship that define Juanachute’s reputation.

Cultivated at the Monteroga Farm, the coffee benefits from a cool mountain climate and volcanic soils that promote slow maturation and exceptional flavor development. After harvest, the cherries underwent a carefully controlled fermentation and drying process that preserves the delicate aromatics and layered complexity of the Mokka variety.

The final cup is elegant and refined, offering bright stone fruit, and a syrupy cola-like body. As it cools, subtle notes of cardamom and sweet spices emerge, creating a truly distinctive experience that highlights both the uniqueness of the variety and the expertise behind its production.
