Kiamwangi AB

Grown on the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya, Kiamwangi AB comes to us from the Iria-Ini Farmers Cooperative Society, an organization rooted in Nyeri since the mid-1950s. What began as a single washing station serving just 180 farmers has grown into a vibrant network of over 700 smallholder producers and three dedicated washing stations: Kamunyaka, Miiri, and Kiamwangi.

The Kiamwangi Factory, sitting at 1800 meters above sea level, is a wet mill where cherries are carefully processed with a meticulous attention to detail typical of this region. This is an AB lot, meaning the beans are screen-sorted to a uniform 15/64–17/64 of an inch. This ensures consistency and quality through the dry milling phase. While size alone doesn't determine flavor, this level of sorting often reflects the care and precision that’s carried through every stage of production. Expect a cup that showcases vibrant citrus acidity, layered sweetness, and a juicy, complex profile.
