Finca Las Botijas
Seth was introduced to Abel Giron at Las Botijas on a buying trip to Honduras in 2018. At just over a hectare, Las Botijas is easily one of the smallest farms we have worked with and for the past three years, we have purchased Abel’s entire production. Abel and his family grow only Pacamara which they pick, mill, and dry themselves, giving them full control of the quality of coffee they produce.
While we have all loved this coffee year after year, no one has loved it more than our neighbor and bag labeling expert, Molly. If you left one of our Friday cuppings last fall with a bag of Botijas, it was probably Molly who insisted you would love it and she was probably right. The Botijas is approachable and unassuming enough to be a daily drinker, but also complex enough hold your attention with each and every sip -moving smoothly from sweet fig toward candied grapefruit.
